Adeje plaza goes green
Adeje gave a rather special salute to its Irish residents and visitors on St Patrick’s Day. The Plaza España turned green for two nights!
The iconic venue took on a strange glow as green lights lit the area up on March 16th and 17th.
The green salute was echoed elsewhere in Spain, including in Madrid as a way of celebrating the Irish tradition and essence.
Other landmarks which turned green were the Niagara Falls, the Empire State Building and even the Christ the Redeeme statue in Rio.
Adeje council said it wanted to extend greetings to all the Irish people resident in the municipality.
