La Bodeguita de Enfrente
Set in a series of old Canary houses, this restaurant is made up of a labyrinth of inter-connecting rooms leading off from the bar area in the centre.
The atmosphere is reminiscent of an English country pub with its low ceilings with wooden beams and warm décor.
The food is fundamentally Canarian. They grow most of their own produce at their allotment and only use olive oil to cook with. Their ethos is a simple one, only use the best, fresh produce and cook it with thought and care.
The menu is described as Picoteo, slightly more than tapas without reaching the full-blown three-course meal status. It’s delicious and affordable.
