Violent death causes total shock
Santa Ursula in the north of Tenerife has been shocked by the violent death of a well-known businessman who was once involved in tourism in the south.
The 62-year-old is said to have been found dead in his home with injuries, a rope around his neck and was hand-cuffed. A safe was missing so police have not ruled out robbery as the motive but investigations are continuing and no further details are being released.
However, at least one person has been arrested for questioning and other arrests have not been ruled out.
The community of Cuesta de la Villa has been very shocked by the tragedy and have described it as an atrocity.
