Women’s race is for men too
La Laguna is inviting entries for the fifth “Carrera de la Mujer” on January 27th
The event will once again show solidarity for all those who have suffered the effects of cancer and will raise funds for continued research.
Despite its title of “Race for Women”, men can take part as well. The entire entry fee of eight euros per person will go to Cancer Research.
Councillor for sports and president of La Laguna’s Autonomous Sports Organi-sation, Aymara Calero said they wanted to show soli-darity with the fight against cancer through this sporting event.
The race has had the support of various organi-sations, including Amate, AECC, Concejalía de la Mujer, Policía Local, Luther King Laguna, Atletismo Aguere, Mírame TV, El Día, Diario de Avisos, La Opinión, Radio Marca, Club Atlas, Guzmán Sport, Colegio Mayco and Colegio Domini-cas La Laguna.
Last year, some 1,500 people took part and the race continues to grow year on year. Another excellent entry is anticipated for January 27th as cancer touches the lives of so many people.
Those interested in taking part can register at the office of the CEA Tenerife 1984 in the Estadio Francisco Peraza, Guzmán Sport, Cole-gio Luther King Laguna, Dominicas Laguna, Tiendas base: Deportes Salud, Arte-sanía Atlántida or Club Atlas.
