Teide inspires youth contest
La Orotava has launched a competition which will take the winners to the Teide National Park and Garajonay on La Gomera.
The competition is aimed mainly at young people who are being asked to write a research project about the Teide National Park and the role it has played in the history of science and knowledge.
Participants can join up as a team of three, supervised and guided by an adult, and the best three papers will win a prize. The main one is four days in June at the Parador in Teide National Park with a visit to La Cañadas and the Garajonay National Park, both designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on La Gomera.
The papers should be a minimum of 15 pages and a maximum of 40. All the conditions are available on www.villadelaorotava.org
