Get snapping at new course
Young people who live in La Orotava are once again invited to join in a digital photography course.
They have until January 31st to register for the municipal workshop which is aimed at those aged between 14 and 35.
The course, in its 18th edition, takes place in the Casa de la Cultura Romula Bethencourt and always attracts a good turnout. More than 1,000 people have picked up tips on photography, though not inititally in digital format.
The project will be spread over five months from February to June and will be taught by professionals, such as Antonio Perera and Luisa Geraldine Lynch Harris. There will be theory as well as practical workshops and will be aimed at all levels, from beginners to the more advanced.
Although the course will involve some advice on the traditional photographic methods, it will concentrate on digital photography, editing and image processing, with programmes such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
The hours will be from 6pm to 8pm or 8pm to 10pm, according to the group and the cost is 80 euros.
To register or for more information, contact the Municipal Youth Information Centre at Casa de la Juventud, calle Leon, no 9. Alternatively, you can phone 922 33 32 99 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
